Galic Bina Mada and Prom Biocides Host Biocide Expertise Forum Indonesia 2025 to Strengthen Water-Based Preservation Strategies
Strengthening preservation performance in water-based formulations took center stage on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025, as industry professionals gathered at Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta, for the Biocide Expertise Forum Indonesia. Carrying the theme “Preservation Strategies for Coatings and Water-Based Systems,” the event was held by Prom Biocides and organized by Galic Bina Mada.
Bringing together participants from paint, ink, adhesive, and related industries, the forum created a focused platform to address the evolving technical and regulatory demands surrounding microbial control. With the industry’s continued transition toward waterborne technologies, preservation has become increasingly complex—requiring solutions that balance efficacy, safety, and compliance.
The highlight of the seminar was a comprehensive session led by Alessandro Vezzoli, PhD., Chief Scientific and Regulatory Officer of Prom Biocides. His presentation explored spoilage microbial characteristics, in-can and dry-film preservation, and plant hygiene as risk management. Dr. Vezzoli underscored the importance of selecting proper biocide systems that ensure long-term product stability while meeting tightening international standards.
Rather than a one-way presentation, the forum encouraged lively and active participation.
The agenda concluded with a networking lunch, allowing participants to continue conversations in a collaborative setting. By combining scientific expertise with open dialogue, the Biocide Expertise Forum Indonesia successfully fostered knowledge-sharing and reinforced industry commitment to responsible and effective preservation strategies.
